The election of new Trustees to the Board of the Psychologists Protection Society Trust will take place over the following timetable:

  • Monday 14th August 2017 – Voting Opens
  • Monday 25th September 2017 - Close of Voting
  • Friday 29th September 2017 – AGM – Results announced

Call for Nominations for Election to the Psychologists Protection Society Trust Board

PPS is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for election to the Psychologists Protection Society Trust Board.

The Board of Trustees that runs The Psychologists Protection Society Trust is made up of current members from the roll of The Psychologists Protection Society Trust - professionals and students from the field of the talking and listening therapies.

As per the Articles of Association, there are Two Trustee positions available, the results for which will be announced at our forthcoming AGM on 29th September 2017 in Dublin. Voting will be by post and will commence on 14th August 2017 and close on 25th September 2017. All members of the Psychologists Protection Society Trust are invited to vote. 

Invitation for Nominations

Would you like to help the Psychologists Protection Society Trust by becoming a Trustee? 

The role of Trustees is to oversee any claims made to the Members Professional Protection Insurance policy and to the Discretionary Trust Fund. Trustees work in a voluntary unpaid capacity, however approved expenses whilst carrying out the duties of the Trust will be reimbursed.

We are looking for Trustees who have a knowledge of the talking and listening therapies, who are committed to the purpose, objects and values of The Psychologists Protection Society Trust and have a desire to assist fellow professionals and students. 

Eligibility & Nomination Process 

To be eligible for election, you must be a current paid up member of the Psychologists Protection Society Trust and have two other current paid up members nominate you. 

You can download and print a nomination form and additional supporting notes below. The Secretary of the Psychologists Protection Society Trust must receive your Nomination form by 9th August 2017.

   2017 PPS Trust AGM & CPD Event Announced

 

The Psychologists Protection Society Trust Board of Trustees are pleased to announce our 2017 AGM & CPD event to be held on the evening of Friday 29th September 2017 in Dún Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland.

PPS Members are invited to attend the AGM and CPD event in Dún Laoghaire or watch online. Non PPS Members can also join in the CPD events online.

  Continuing Professional Development Event

The Psychologists Protection Society Trust is pleased to announce two CPD events this year; 

The hidden virtue: Towards a new understanding of humility in counselling and psychotherapy, hosted by our first guest speaker – Heather Dale. ***This presentation has now been cancelled and has been replaced with another presentation, click here for more information***

This will be held at 5.15pm - prior to our AGM event on the Evening of Friday 29th September 2017 at the Royal Marine Hotel, Marine Rd, Dún Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland. PPS Members attending this CPD event are invited to stay on for our AGM. Following the AGM at 8.15pm our second CPD event;

When did grief get so complicated? … and what  practitioners need to know about it, hosted by our second Guest Speaker - Dr Susan Delaney.

  Annual General Meeting

The Board of Trustees wish to invite PPS Members to the Annual General Meeting of the Psychologists Protection Society Trust which will be held at 6.15pm - after our first CPD event.
